10 Things my 2 Year Old Toddler said…

Dude. My kid turned 3 this month. Three whole trips around the sun with him & here we are… Since May seems to be the busiest month of the year, we held off a couple weeks on throwing a bash & enjoyed a low-key birthday at home with pancakes, balloons & a donut hole cause’ at the last minute, I felt guilty about not making a treat 😉

10 Things my Toddler said & A Giveaway!10 things my Toddler Said & A Giveaway!10 things my Toddler said & A Giveaway!

Believe it or not, I haven’t been a crying, blubbering mess. I haven’t made such a fuss about it that the whole world had to stop spinning for a day…

I’m not sure why but this year felt a little different. I don’t feel super sad & overly emotional like I usually do. I almost feel guilty that I’m not sad… Maybe all I have left is hope that we’ll all survive this phase of toddlerhood cause’ it’s been throwing us quite the challenge these days…

I won’t focus on all the messy stuff though. This year has been so incredible to watch him grow & develop into the person he chooses to be. The way he engages me in his world of imagination is nothing short of magical. He’s too smart for his own good (or mine). He is such a doting big brother to our bonus baby (nope she’s not ours) & my heart is so full when I get to watch them adventure together. While we’ve had some struggles this past year, he makes our lives brighter than I could’ve ever imagined & I couldn’t be more proud of the little boy that made me a mama.

In light of  3 [adventurous, crazy, humorous, fun] Trips around the Sun with my Sweet P, I thought I’d share some comical quotes straight from the mouth of my favorite two year old. Oh, & hang in there til’ the end cause’ some super rad shops are helping us celebrate by giving back to your favorite tot with a stellar giveaway!

10 Things my toddler said in his 2nd year of life :

1. “Hold my wood Mumma.”- While playing with wood outdoors.

2. “Your boobies fallen off Mumma!”- While I’m changing my clothes.

3. “Did Daddy cook you, put you in the oven?”

4. “Don’t sing Mumma.”

5. We asked him, “What are you thankful for today?” His response, “Cowboys.”

6. “Leave the crusty ones for me!” – While wiping his nose…

7. “We live in a bagel!” – When trying to pronounce the town we live in.

8. “No, I toot.” – When I asked, “are you sure you didn’t poop?”

9. “I don’t drink coffee, I drink tea.” – Oh, you fancy huh?

10. “come over, I need money!” – Thanks for teaching him the real value of piggy bank funds Uncle Rich!

Are you laughing? I’m crying over here. I really hope this isn’t one of those “had to be there” things where I think it’s funny but you don’t cause’ you weren’t there… If you could just picture your own kid at 2 years old blurting out the most random, dirty-minded, hilarious, blunt, phrases, than you might be laughing now….

Every year, just before a Birthday, Christmas or any other occasion when I think people might over-gift, we go through my son’s clothes & toys & give them away… Since you could be reading this from anywhere across the U.S., you likely can’t drop by the Orchard House to inherit our previously loved goods. But, as promised, we have a giveaway for you. In honor of my son’s 3rd Birthday we have partnered with some of our favorite #MomBoss shops who have so generously given us a whole slew of toddler goodies for one lucky little tot & we couldn’t be more happy to share these gifts with you!

  1. So sweet!! Love the things toddlers say <3 I don't feel sad about Jase turning 3 (in October) either, for me I think it's because I know the excitement that's in store for us as he grows up (and the lack of tantrums 😉 ).

  2. Happy third birthday, P!! (My oldest is nicknamed P, too!) Seriously laughing over all of his little quotes! My favorite is #5. We asked our three year old what he was grateful for before bedtime a few nights ago and he replied, “Your beautiful eyebrows, Mom.” Yet again, I am wishing we were closer so our kids could be the best of buddies… What a fun giveaway!!

  3. Oh my goodness! That list is priceless. I can totally imagine my 3.5 year old asking me to save the crusty boogers for him—he loves picking his nose. So gross. When I tell him to stop, or try to use a wipe, he tells me not to because he likes to pick his nose! Ick. Sounds like you guys have such a fun, loving home. Thanks for sharing!

  4. I absolutely adore your list of comments from your little guy! “Cowboys” is my favorite! Happy 3rd birthday to your baby boy! 3 is an experience for sure. We’re almost to 3 1/2, and it’s way more hilarious every day.

  5. Hahaha! I love this. Don’t toddlers just say the darnest things! I wrote a post about some things my daughter has said lately and will post tomorrow if you’re interested. What comes out of their mouth blows me away sometimes! Oh the joys of being a mama.

  6. That is too funny! My son skipped right over the terrible 2’s and entered the terrible 3’s pretty much on his birthday lol! 3 has been such a fun age though, because they are getting SO smart! Happy birthday to your little man!

    • ohhhh we have gotten a good taste of terrible twos into threes lately! I’m just slightly afraid given that everyone says it only gets worse 🙁 Thank you for the Birthday wishes!

  7. This is great! I’ve been thinking about doing a post like this because kids say they most hilarious things, and I don’t want to forget them when they grow up!

  8. My son just turned 2 and I can’t believe it! Where does all the time go? I love the list of funny things your toddler has said. Thank you for the giveaway!

    • I don’t know where it goes! Sometimes I want it back & sometimes I just want out of the tantrum I’m in! But I do my best to be present in the now & enjoy this crazy ride. Thanks for being here!
